Food Rescue Baltimore:

Find more information here

In partnership with Repair the World, we have an opportunity to give back right here in Baltimore, MD!

Food Rescue Baltimore “rescues” food that would otherwise go to waste, re-packages, and distributes to those in need. Food Rescue Baltimore needs us to help gather donations at the Sunday Farmers Market located in Downtown Baltimore, which will then be re-packaged and sent off for delivery. Hopkins Hillel is committing to sending at least 4 volunteers every Sunday to help with this task. This is a wonderful way to participate in a meaningful activity with friends (or maybe you’ll meet someone new!). By filling out the required form, you do NOT commit to volunteering every week. You will be sent weekly opportunities, and you can sign up as frequently or as in-frequently as you’d like and as fits your schedule.

Please fill out this form to get started with Food Rescue Baltimore!

JHU Hillel volunteers will be volunteering at the Farmer’s Market on Sundays from 12pm-2pm (or any chunk of time you can commit to in that two hour window). If you need transportation, please contact Leora Cantor- lcantor1@jhu.edu

If you cannot commit to Sundays, but would like to be involved with Repair the World for other local volunteer opportunities, please click here to see more ways you can give back!
